Triumphant Return!

Well, not quite.

As you may have noticed, I haven’t posted in a long time. Long story. I’m going to re-enter blogging, but slowly.

Rather than jump right into technique, I’m going to give you an image (photograph or video) and a haiku from a master. The haiku and image may or may not be related. Use either the haiku or the image (or both) as inspiration for your own original haiku (or tanka).

We’ve had a WEE bit of water this week. Here is a video of nearby Caledonia State Park (Pennsylvania) – under water!

Here is another great view.

     the grasses I tread
     uncertain and fickle
     are all withered away

     Taneda Santoka
    (Tr. by R. H. Blyth)

I hope you are inspired!

Please write your haiku, and then add the link to your blog response in the comments section.

Namaste —
