March 7, 2018: Rainy Forest

Welcome to the next installment of Seeds and Sand, a daily haiku prompt site.

Caledonia State Park, Pennsylvania, USA

For today’s haiku inspiration, walk with me into the forest.
Take time to explore all your senses.

Feel the cool breeze; smell the damp soil.
Listen to the patterns in the wind and the rain.
Watch the droplets fall from the trees.

Walk with me.
What moment stands out in your imagination?

Here is my haiku; perhaps it will inspire you.

little raindrop
i did not expect you
right down my neck!

And another, more serious haiku:

creekside
the scent of pine
yields

Now it’s your turn!

Please share your rainy forest-inspired haiku here:

Happy Writing!
